10 Good Things

Here is a list of 10 things make me happy, right now:

1. People have started receiving our wedding invitations and they think they are beautiful;
2. It is Wednesday and there are only two more sleeps until Friday;
3. I am starting to look forward to going to the gym;
4. I can almost pronounce Candelabra;
5. Superbowl is on Sunday and I get a Mom and Grandma day;
6. When discussing going to get something from a party store on Sunday, Mom said "Yeah and anything else we can get too!"
7. My brother might have a good new job;
8. My in-laws are going to meet my Dad, and it means brunch;
9. Mark is learning to cook;
10. Today is not a fat day.

The end.

All Invclusive Vacations and Last Minute Deals?

Emily and Mark want to take a honeymoon. Depending on our financial situation post-nuptial event.

We're hoping for Cuba - either way, somewhere hot and sunny. I have NEVER been anywhere. I went to Florida when I was three but that's about it. I am not all that well travelled.

I've been a little busy, what with having an 11 year old and everything.

So........we're hoping to do something rather last minute - likely in the first week of May.

No idea how to do it.

And.....advice.

Victory Is Mine!

I made Thai Red Chicken Curry last night for dinner. Recipe, with modification, courtesy of Kristin.

Anyway........dinner was absolutely fanfrickintastic. I could have eaten it all night. Instead, I made myself stop and brought leftovers for lunch, with a portion in the freezer for another night.

The biggest news of all, Mark...(Mr. I Like Pepperoni in Everything and Veggies are the Devil) ate it (skipping the peppers and bamboo shoots of course) but regardless, enjoyed the hot curry, the chicken and most of all the coconut milk (also a hater of coconut).

Our great compromise, adding more Mark friendly veggies to the next curry dish. Such as, peas, shaved carrots, corn.

I will leave in one red pepper and the bamboo shoots stay.

I am victorious!

A Tidbit for Kris and Jennifer

Rachel Bilson of the O.C. (watched and loved by Kris) appeared in one episode of Season 7 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, entitled: Dirty Girls. Rachel Bilson played a potential slayer in a dream sequence of Xander's. This dream sequence involved lines such as "The world could end and I've never been with a man" or even more classic "I've never been with her, in front of a man". Classic man dream sequence.

David Arquette played "Diesel" or "Dennis" Stone (did not like to be called Dennis) and was Nikki ex-boyfriend in an episode of 90210. Diesel showed up in Beverly Hills and caused some issues between Brandon and Nikki. And although Brandon rescued stupid Nikki from icky Diesel, we did see that Brandon is a little jealous and bossy as a boyfriend.
I cannot find a picture of him all metal and cool as Nikki's rocker ex-boyfriend.
Just a little T.V. trivia for you.

Je Suis 30

I joined Club 30 today. This is a picture of Adam and I at my 29th Birthday Dinner. Adam will be joining Club 30 in July.

It's kind of neat.

It's like joining a secret club that only people in their 30's can join.

And.............people make a big stinking deal out of it.

My office is a disaster of Happy Birthday confetti, a sign and a banner.

I have already received 4 birthday presents.

I love my 30th birthday.

I am super fun and super important today.

And, clearly, I have matured. A lot.

Things that are going to happen while 30:

1. I will have a wedding.

2. I will be in a wedding.

3. I will go from Ms. to Mrs.

4. I will become an Aunt to possibly the most spoiled little boy to ever live. I love him already.

5. I will get to celebrate, twice, with my friends, at possibly the biggest parties we will ever have.

Year 30 - fantastic.

She's Going to be His Missus!

The scene: Christmas Eve, candle-light. Down he went, on one knee (honestly, what did you think).......he asked, she said yes.

The ring - round solitaire sapphire, accented by a round cut diamond on either side (this is based on description because I haven't seen the ring because it's being sized and I am really excited to see the ring so hurry up)

Ladies and Gentlemen, I am pleased to report that finally, after much and wishing and waiting and hoping and praying (I am quoting song here) Matt Kavanagh has asked Julie Foster (the original) to be his Missus.

Julie Foster of the Foster Clan, will wed Mr. Matt Kavanagh on August 11, 2007.

We are thrilled, excited and happy and giddy with anticipation.

As I will be wed first, I have taken it upon myself to have the "talk" with Julie so that she will be aware of what is expected of her on her wedding night. I am a good friend.

Congratulations to you both! We love, love, love you.

AAAAANNNNNND DONE

It is officially over.

Holiday Season - gone.

Emily wedding season - here.

Happy about that - not so much.

Don't get me wrong, being married good, planning wedding bad.

This weekend marks my first ever and last wedding show - hopefully it's a good time and I get to sample cake.

My body is going through TOTAL junk withdrawal, I totally want cake right now.

Seriously though, I have eaten for 2 weeks straight and my body is not used to yogurt and chicken. It wants chocolate and cake and stuffing and oh my god I need to get back to the gym.

Quick run down of the holiday:

1. I got all the Buffy seasons I needed, watched two of them and loved me some Buffy all week long. Mark hates it. I don't care.

2. Mark has played countless hours of video games, as has Joe. They are in Playstation heaven.

3. Matt asked, Julie said yes, wedding is 4 months almost to the day after mine. Yay!

4. I am almost finished my antibiotics. Yay again.

5. I will be spending the next 5 evenings shopping and/or watching movies because I totally missed out on my week off of work - what with the being sick and all that.

6. Saw lots of family, answered far too many wedding related questions.

7. Had New Year's Eve related food fest with friends.

8. Back at work.

I am hoping this week will be fairly slooooow and I can leave early(ish) most days.

Out.
