Wedding Dress - Measurement Day

So tonight, various female friends and family members are traveling to Sinders Bridal House to either:

A) Try on dresses; or
B) Get measured for their dresses.

I am assuming that the measurement part is done privately so that my gazillion inches around are not broadcast to the general public.

Haven't seen the girls dresses on a real person yet, very exciting.

I heart chocolate brown.

Six months from now, I will already be someone's Missus. Crazy.

Post Golf Day

It took two posts.

Post golf was a great pot-luck held and Julie's house. Her tenant Matt was also there.

1st Annual Swingers Invitational

Ok, better late than never.

On September 30th, ten very brave friends agreed to join Mark and I at our very first, very fantastic and slightly dirty 1st Annual Swingers Invitational (yes, as in switching partners).

Eighteen holes of golf were played at Riverbend. Six couples, all switched up (but for one couple, which is ok cuz we didn't want to play with either of them anyway).

The way the tourney ran........

The boys names went into a hat and the girls picked out their new man. I got Adam (haaawt) and Tracy got Mark, so I made out with her boyfriend.

But I digress........

Then we arranged our foursomes (ha, I said foursome) and off we went.

Congratulations to Julie and Dave for winning the tournament and for possibly being the hottest May/December couple there.

Did someone say golf montage? No? Well screw you, one of my three readers will want to see pictures.

I Frickin Love Thanks and Giving

This has to be one of my favourite holidays.

I heart turkey and hanging with the family.

Oh and loooong weekends, love them.

Here is my turkey schedule:

Friday: Ok, it's pizza night but whatever, I'm not cooking!
Saturday: Katy and Jesse's for dinner.......
Sunday: Mom's for dinner with Mom2 and Dad2.1
Monday: Shannon's house with Dad1 and family.

Oh and key note to Monday is *that* cousin is coming. The one who is younger than I am with kids older than mine. She actually has 4 children and 4 different baby daddy's. She met the last baby daddy in AA (I don't think that is step 12).

She also happens to be the only family member not invited to my wedding.

This should be fun.

Maybe I will throw turkey bones at her.

Frenimies

To clarify on my last post:

Typically, those persons that believe they "know" what's going on, are Frenimies.

Frenimies are a unique and special kind of person. They were maybe once a friend but are no longer, they are not quite an arch enemy but could be.

Often, they are incredibly self-centered people that, unfortunately, you must endure for a good part of your life.

Unlike good friends, frenimies do not move away, they stay, like a stain you can never remove. They email me. Daily. They don't go away and if you try to ignore them, they pester you or other people you know.

I know that you are going to say "Emily, why do you keep these people in your life"

I am sure you have heard the saying, keep your friends close and your enemy's closer. This applies to frenimies. It is easier to be civil and tolerate it than to try and deal with them when they get angry. And don't feed them after midnight.

Frenimies, bad.

1. My cats - I believe that the think it's their house and we are their pets.

2. My brother and his meaning of "dating" vs. "girlfriend".

3. Mark's attempt at UFC last night, with me. Arm bars are nothing compared my sweet moves.

4. How I can't really pack anything because we have run out of space to the point I have no place to put a box.

5. LOST returns tonight. More exciting than my wedding!

6. Jericho is on before LOST - it's my new favourite show. Watch it.

7. Jen's comment on my last blog. Does she know other people can see it?

8. Colin scheduling a meeting to obtain an itinerary for the wedding - love his commitment.

9. People who think they know what's going on. I laugh at you. Often.

10. I only have 2 sleeps left until a long weekend.
