Winners Circle (sort of)

Yet another great year at the CHEO BBQ!

This year's event, despite frigid weather, the threat of rain and zero practice.....we, Sets on the Beach (thanks Bobby) managed to make it to the semi-finals.

That's right, we were semi-finalists in the recreation league. We started at 9:00 am and played 13 great games, actually killing the last team in the first round to move on to the qualifying round. We then took an automatic win, won one semi-final game but lost the last two (best two out of three games). The loss was sad indeed but we totally kicked ass otherwise.

Sarah won a week long hot tub rental which we will enjoy because I know she will invite us all. I am sure we will likely all still hurt by the time it arrives.

The weather sucked this year but we were total troupers! Thanks to everyone for a great time and to Kristin for introducing this great event to us. Can't wait till next year!
