Wooohooo May 24 Weekend!!!

Summer weather soon.... would be super great. Took Friday off to make it an extra-long weekend and I cleaned the house for the whole day. Turns out, Friday was the only day to not have rain.

Saturday fun was full of grocery shopping and bathroom scouring.

Oh and - I am wearing a turtleneck sweater. It's barely 10 degrees and raining.

Stick 3 people in a house the size of a shoebox, have one of them be Grmplstiltskin and you've got yourself a ticking timebomb.

Saturday night possibilites:

1. Poseidon
2. MI: III

I Need a Sitter

I want to go see The DaVinci Code on Saturday night with my very cute boyfriend that cannot operate a washing machine (or dryer).

Anyone want to hang out with a cute blonde kid for the evening?

Sigh.......

Happy Birthday Matty!

If there is one constant in my life, it is knowing that no matter where I go, no matter what I do, Matthew William Kavanagh will always be a solid year and a half older than I am (ok, that's not really what Matt looks like, but it is close and I don't have a picture with me)

Matt is 31 years old today.

Matt Memories

Pinky and the Brain
South Park
Comfy couch vs. couch with hard giant lump in the middle
Spilling beer on my jacket
Spilling rye in my backpack
Spilling beer on me
Head Stones Concert - Navan Fair
Matt + campfire = danger
Richmond Fair(s)
Teaching Joe how to play darts - in the Munster pub
The hot Firebird
House renovations and big driveway piles of gravel
Drunk Shelley vs. drunk Matt
Straits
Brittany Spears (think - Hit Me Baby One More Time)
Matt's ongoing quest to make me vomit on my birthday (he won only once)
Introducing us to Julie, who we like more

The list could go on and on but I will end here with a very big Happy Birthday Matt (and a little virtual birthday grope too). XOXOXOXO

Name That Volleyball Team

For the second year, I am entering a volleyball team into the CHEO BBQ (www.cheobbq.com).

This is a wonderful event that raises lots and lots of money each year for CHEO. It is run completely by volunteers and with the great support of certain sponsors.

That means, all the money raised through pledges, etc. go right to CHEO.

This year we have a fantastic team of 9 people including, but not limited to, myself and my very cute Mark who, as he has repeatedly assured me, plays like a tall person.

However, we do not have a team name. Last year, we called ourselves Team Nate but that was because our Nathan had gone through a rough time at CHEO and we played for him.

Now, we want a team name all our own, that we can carry through the years.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to give us a great team name.

I look forward to your submissions (and your pledges, but more on that later).

Airport???

Um.....can someone please pick me up at the airport on Saturday, May 13th???

If you are not a crazed stalker intending to kidnap me, you will know how to contact me for further details.

Thanks

Post Weekend Summary

The weather this weekend was beautiful!

Mark golfed all day on Saturday, I got sick of Mark golfing, so I called Sarah on Friday night and we tee'd off at 9:37 the next morning.

It was the first time out for both of us this year. Things I noticed......I still suck, if it's possible to be worse, I am . I am in love with a pitching wedge. If you could squish Sarah's long game into Emily's short game, you would have one solid golfer. Instead you have Emily cursing while driving and Sarah cursing while chipping.

I only lost two balls though, so all in all a good day.

Saturday night - dinner at Matt and Julie's with Tracy and Colin. In appropriate genital related humour was everywhere.

I played with the new kittens Puss and Boots (I wanted to rename them Roger and Elizabeth but Julie said no). Played with Spot and Dexter. Spot does not love Dexter, he finds Dexter's immature nature annoying and tiring.

Sunday - Shopping with Mark, always one of my favourite things. Actually, cheesy as it is, I love running errands with Mark, we always have fun and rarely is anyone hurt badly. Bought new runners and cleats.

Yep, it's Baseball season again.
